The Hearing Aid Tax Credit

The Hearing Aid Tax Credit would help countless Americans who need hearing instruments, but simply cannot afford them. If enacted, it would provide a $500 tax credit per hearing aid available once every 5 years. The benefits of reducing special education costs for children through increased hearing aid usage are immense, as are the benefits of minimizing psychological and mental disorders associated with untreated hearing loss in older adults.

The Hearing Aid Tax Credit is currently being considered by the House Ways and Means Committee and Senate Finance Committee. Public support and House/Senate cosponsorship is crucial to the tax credit's passage; we urge all consumers and hearing professionals to contact their Congressional Representatives in support of the Hearing Aid Tax Credit.
